Description: Tour New York City as it was in the roaring twenties, through the lens of a professional cameraman (Gardner Wells) in this ca. 1929 Kodak Cinegraph film. See the people walking the crowded streets, double-decker buses, and beautiful NYC architecture. -My estimate for 1926 is from the "Madison Sq. Garden Nov 7th to 13th" seen in the top right around 6 mins, as well as the buildings shown. It seems like at least in 1926 and 1927, the National Horse Show ran then, and MSG was closed in 1925. However, let me know if you know better!- Thanks to Jim Retzner in the comments for spotting the Greta Garbo "Single Standard" advert, dating this film to 1929.
