Description: In this 1979 industrial film produced by the Houston-based Bob Bailey Productions for Brooklyn Union Gas Co., Vivian Farrar discusses the uses, distribution, and production of natural gas fuel. In addition to discussion of liquid natural gas production, fracking, and more unusual methods for producing natural gas, the film also compares natural gas to solar energy, concluding that natural gas is a safe and abundant fuel source. Formed in the mid-1930s, the Houston-based Bob Bailey Productions produced mostly industrial and educational films for area oil, natural gas, and petrochemical companies, but also made newsreels for Fox and Movietone.
