Complete Record: Silent adventure short. “In the wilds of Africa,” but it really looks like Florida, with some people in brown face as natives. A fearsome tiger is on the prowl, terrorizing villagers and beasts of the forest alike. There is an amazing sequence where the fearsome tiger is baited to “fight” with a panther. When the tiger starts attacking plantation workers, Frank Buck, noted big game hunter, is called in to the rescue. On the hunt for the tiger, another planter, a fat man who looks like a stock “Mexican,” shoots at Buck from behind a bush and scurries off into the woods. Some elephants are startled, though, and the hut that he hides behind collapses on top of him. Buck and his party pull the fat man from the wreckage and discover that he had poison darts that had been making the tiger crazy. Suddenly, we see the tiger attacking a python. Go figure. “The fight grows more desperate. Can the python hold him?” We see the tiger yelling from being strangled by the python. Really messed up. A title card says “That’s the end of the jungle marauder.”
