Description: Tells the Irish story of Bridget, who falls in love with a prince but is made to do various tasks of spinning, weaving and knitting by the queen before she can marry him. Relates how she is helped in her tasks by a deformed woman who asks only that she be invited to the wedding feast. Reveals that at the wedding feast, the old woman tells Bridget that she became deformed from too much weaving, spinning and knitting and that the prince forbids Bridget to ever do these tasks again.
