Thank You document we thought David pritch I believe it you have an idea bringing up the idea that the parents are frustrated and your teenagers are frustrated nobody knows that they want we've got ourselves into a problem we don't know how we're going to get out we've got a few ideas that we've looking years and we think I think most agree it's a good idea we expect to have adult leadership we want it we know that you've had more experience and we had and we need that but we also want to have our own say in this verb said that he suggested esta a consult the council in the school board get together an appoint adult leaders I don't exactly agree with that I think the kids should have a little something to say about that too I don't think they should have the entire say but I think they could have some choice in the matter I think we know what we want we want to recreation center it's been brought up that we want it simply as a jumping-off place or a place to be after ten-thirty well we do that's the truth in some instances but not always we're not we're not going to lie to our parent and just use this as a place to start from and I don't know if we want something to do after ten-thirty sure we're out I was going home at ten thirty but that isn't the entire idea that we want some place we can go and be together and have fun well not David is started the ball rolling back there yes system or you'll see what is I know about your job to do something about that rainbow girls our activities such as musical groups in they stick most of our eyes the rainbow girls I think meet on monday nitro visitors every other week on a monday night that's a monday night this night is a homerton residential probably when something is maybe something during the weekend or in the middle of the week and for musicals will provide a show we had when denied we didn't have one full dress rehearsal i'm here to practice except for square dancing on it was night we had at sunday afternoon and we need something to take the place where the older people are going to their clubs and the Canasta game and their tavern we want to place to take that place the ruling people can't talk about as welcome to shoot one goes walking the streets are to drive down to tangler something like that once the design came once a ganar skating rink or or even a super horse owners miss that too there's more audience in the these kids got to be able to go someplace now they come down there and breathe good bunch of kids I'm not kidding everybody and they want to say there in ten thirty it's okay they want to go home why I guess that's our parental delinquency right there they've got to have some place where they can go just like this girl over here maximal a while ago she said well once every two weeks well they might have band practice every other night or something like that but it just isn't enough time their children there's too much time you laugh for the kids that they got to have someplace to go something to do that's all there's to it right I think of a council like this would have to start with legal representation a sort of a 50-50 basis half of them teenagers from the high school that way you're sure of one thing they can't outvote you if you had something you want you can bring us there and you can thrash it out what u.s. is equality responsibility isn't it although there's your the opportunity to get it you so you can sit down and feel sorry for you want to grow in its responsibility I think we can offer something like that now it's going to throw in federal responsibility upon those people who are chosen to represent the teenaged rules and that's not an easy thing to do I know it's going to mean you're going a half of work with two groups of people you're going to have some work with the teenagers represent and with the adults to represent the older people in the community well I think that's the challenge and we can offer you we can't give you a solution to your problem we don't want to because you're going to have to work out your own problems in your own way from now on we want you to feel the community is willing to offer you some sort of a plan so that you can have your affairs here insane what's being done I think it's primarily a responsibility as a parent working with the children the Sam said to see that the job is done this session to a close there's one thing that we've seen her tonight we can be mighty proud of it that's the way that you adults allowed and encouraged these young people over here to discuss their problems openly and freely that shows that you have confidence in your children in their good sent from in their good judgment now there's a chance to me folks to make a definite decision and we may be back to Toledo in just a few weeks to put the television cameras on you folks again to see whether or not you have come to some kind of a decision on this problem of recreation and to see whether by your action you have proved acting individually and collectively that your town has these bigger and the honesty and the wisdom to make democracy work the meeting is again next week the
