Description: This film complies three 1960s television news segments shot by Bob Harper for Houston’s KPRC-TV. Harper was the station’s chief cameraman at the time. He submitted the segments to a contest by the National Press Photographers Association. In the first, Harper joins Houston Post photographer Bill Goodman in a steeplejack as workmen scale the San Jacinto Monument for cleaning. The second documents KPRC coverage of Hurricane Hilda, which struck Louisiana in October 1964. The third segment shows a photoshoot with sports photographer Jimmy Laughead and the 1962 University of Houston football team.
