Description: Studies the murals of Diego Rivera, Juan O'Gorman, and Jose Clemente Orozco as well as the architecture of Luis Barragan, Ricardo Legoretta, and Andre Casillas. Discusses early 20th century Mexican muralism which returned art to the people as in the days of the Mayans. Visits many of the great murals, including those in the ruins of a Mayan temple in Cacaxtla. Briefly chronicles the life of Luis Barragan and his master works, buildings inspired by European modernism yet retaining a Mexican flavor through his choice of colors. Interviews Ricardo Legoretta about the Barragan tradition.
