Description: Investigates, without commentary, the rural culture in the village of Dunquin in County Kerry, Ireland. Shows the society of the peasant village that, in 1967, still used the Gaelic language. Explores the effects of modernization and acculturation on the community and considers the effects of this culture slowly dying out. Extensive sequences in Gaelic are subtitled.
