Complete Record: A large ferris wheel, montage, w.s. This is the world’s fair in Paris, trains trvel around, view of the Eieffel Tower from an elevator, this is the first year of its birth. An old man jumps off of the tower, in an apparent stunt or suicide attempt... wierd. A couple flies off in a hot air balloon. The Wright brothers demonstrate their prototype airplane. This Paris of the 1910’s is powered by horse drawn carriages and steam powered trains and cars. Newsreel shots of a convicted Parisian spy. Turn of the century Parisians (victorian) Parisians bustle about on the streets. Shots of Kaiser Vilhelm pre-WWII, seemingly hobnobbing with French politicians. Neat slow motion shot of French aristocrats and their families. A man takes a shower outdoors... interesting and very dated. Bourgois families go on country outings with their wagons... an old French painter smoking a cigarrette... another old painter. Archival footage of Rodan the impressionist... al of these painters are famous impressionists. Archival footage of George Bernard Shaw arguing with some other intellectuals. A vaudeville show: a midget dances around wearing a pair of very long shoes... a man wearing a sombrero dances with two senoritas, two men with canes dance. Archival footage of London in 1910 or 1915. Footage of the British King and Queen in 1910. Chinese soldiers doing some sort of intense, suyncronized exercises... power tai chi.. Stock footage from China from 1910-20. Germans arrive to visit some Asian country, China or Russia. A montage detailing Kaiser Wilhelm’s inspection of his large army. This is all before World War II. A young, poor looking European family gets on a trains with all of their baggage.. children stare out of the window at us, the men wave goodbye to their loved ones forever.
