Description: Presents the life of Christy Brown, author of My Left Foot and Down All The Days filmed in Dublin, Ireland. Explains that Brown has been afflicted with cerebral palsy since birth and has only had the full use of his left foot to do his painting and writing. Through his eyes important aspects of his early years are re-created--such as the realization of his sexuality, his relationship with his family, and how his therapist, Sheila, gave him the courage and confidence to face life. Shows Brown at the opening of his art exhibit, drinking with friends, and at a party celebrating the publication of his book.
