"The Tower" Jim Makichuk intro EMMERITUS

[Applause] foreign [Music] [Music] the tower I wrote and directed it and it was back in 1985-86 and I was broke I was in Toronto and needed money so I called up Lionel and he was always ready to hire a guy uh just like me you could write and direct and so I did that and the only stipulation in vinyl set is that you gotta have a girl in a bikini so we did have a girl in the Bikini as you will see it cost about 25 30 000 not a lot of money and we use the crew from chch in Hamilton who covered hockey games and they were really awful I did not like them they weren't very good and I used to say that as long as the the actor had a hockey puck taped to their forehead they would always be in frame which they didn't like and we shot a lot of it in a waste treatment plant halfway between Toronto and Hamilton and the smell was just awful and of course that's where we had our lunches and our dinners and I apologize to the actors and the crew for that but anyways have a look at the movie and I understand that uh Cameron and Paul are here and that would be great to I wish I could be there I would love to see them and tell them to give me a call um anyways enjoy the movie and see what happens and tell me about it on Facebook I have a Facebook page I mean I know what you'll probably say but tell me anyways I'd love to hear it and because I will do anything I have to anything covers a lot of territory
