Uses watercolor animation to tell the story by Mordecai Richler which deals with the reactions of various members of a Jewish family to their old, sick grandmother who is dying. Contrasts the feelings of different family members, some of whom feel it would be better for her to die while others wish she would recover. Depicts the simultaneous feelings of sadness and curiosity on the part of the young boy when his grandmother finally dies.
