Unlike many of the films Cousteau made in this era, this one does not rely primarily on underwater cameras or SCUBA gear. The plot of the film is fairly simple -- a Monk seal is taken from a sandy beach in Morocco, and then transported by ship to France where it becomes part of the exhibit at the Paris Zoo.
