The Restless Earth: Geology and Man

Observes that animal life on earth began to evolve more than 100 million years ago and considers what effect man may have on future geological history. Shows that at the present rate of consumption man is exhausting ores that have taken millions of years to accumulate and producing carbon dioxide faster than the oceans can absorb it. Records that the oldest rocks in the world are found in Greenland and describes how they help to tell the history of the earth.
