The National library

Description: Housing over a million books in many languages, India’s National Library at Calcutta provides citizens with an opportunity for the study and enjoyment of the literature of their own and other countries. Copies of all books, periodicals and newspapers published in India are held by the Library and historical documents and rare editions of Indian classics form an important part of the collection.
