Description: Naturalist-photographer Heinz Sielmann records the mystifying rituals of animal life and behavior in natural habitats, based on material gathered in travels to every continent. In forests of Rwanda, Dian Fossey shares the domain of mountain gorillas; in the Rocky Mountains, Frank and John Craighead stalk grizzlies and climb down cliffs to a golden eagle's eyrie; and in Germany, ethologist Konrad Z. Lorenz, co-director of the Max Planck Institute, discovers the "following instinct" of greylag goslings. Studies are also shown of the musk ox, giraffe, kangaroo, polar bear, baboon, and various species of fish, birds and insects.
