Description: Describes the wide variety of life to be found in a typical Wisconsin marsh. Emphasizes the relationships within a natural community between indegenous organisms and the physical conditions around them, and amoung the plants and animals themselves. Introduces the idea of an ecologic succession by retracing stages in the development of a marsh and by suggesting some of the changes which may occur as the marsh gradually fills in.
