He embarks on a solo rescue operation after failing to convince members of the ski team to accompany him on a search for avalanche victims during unsafe conditions. The brave doctor locates the avalanche site and digs through heavy snow to uncover a station wagon containing four victims. Just as he is about to pull them out, a second avalanche occurs, trapping the doctor in the car with the others. Eventually, the victims and doctor are saved by other ski team members.
