Description: This is a quantitative study of a water resource which shows how geologists and engineers collect and interpret data to determine the occurrence, movement and amount of water available in a particular area; how ground water and surface water are interrelated; and how the effects of various water uses on stream flow and ground-water levels may be predicted. Of interest to all groups concerned with the use and management of water resources.
