Description: The first in The Strange Adventures of Prince Courageous film series, designed for child star Arthur Trimble, this 1923 silent fantasy film also features actress Bessie Love from Midland, Texas. When a brave knight is cursed by a witch to appear as a little boy (Trimble), he must prove himself by defeating an evil duke and rescuing Princess Beatrice (Love). Although 12 films were planned for the series, only three appear to to have been made. A few years later, Trimble starred in the popular Buster Brown series. Love continued working in film, TV, radio, and theater until the 1980s.
