Description: A film of historical interest showing many of the less well known photographs of events in the life of the late King George VI. Made on the occassion of his death, the film is a tribute to a man and his family. Includes the funeral procession of King George’s grandfather; the ‘Spreading Chestnut Tree’ game in which the King participated at a holiday camp; the King yachting with his father; the visit to Australia; shipboard games en route to South Africa; an early visit to France; extracts from the abdication speech of King Edward.
