Description: Led by the engineer Crazyloff, a team of savants, including Professor Polehunter, Secretary Rattlebrains, and Officers Easy-fooled, Daredevil and Schemer, make an impossible voyage through earth, air, fire and water, from the rooms of the Institute of Incoherent Geography, to the surface of the sun then back to the bottom of the ocean. Méliès suggested the illusion of aerial and terrestrial speed by filming the painted side of a rotating drum and then superimposing Crazyloff's aircraft on to it, a device known as the follow shot.Genre/FormAction and adventure films.
