The Hero

A 13-minute black-and-white USC student short film introducing actor Lawrence Brightman in the lead role. The film follows an older man in a suburban American setting — glimpsed outside a Safeway grocery store, in a park with playground equipment, and in a quiet residential backyard. Shot with visible grain and a contemplative pace, the film appears to be a character study of an aging man navigating his environment, exploring themes of solitude and the quiet dignity of ordinary life.
