Complete Record: This live-action film from France, without narration or dialogue, tells the story of a young boy who wins a beautiful, tropical goldfish at a street carnival. He returns to his apartment and places the fish in a bowl on a chest near his pet canary’s cage. While the boy goes on an errand, the fish and canary play joyfully, but a trespassing cat enters the room through a window a threatens the little fish. A happy surprise ending with some remarkable close-up photography climaxes the absorbing story.
