volunteered to care for their children during the day but Molly discovered that some people think that this work is so complicated so difficult and requires so much preparation that only some special way of caring for the children is proper so Molly had a runin with Rich Mrs Cory and the upshot of the affair was that Mrs Cory is going to take the children out of Molly's hands of course there are the mothers and so trouble is brewing listen Mrs goldber Mrs goldber Mrs goldber where are you I'm here where I'm coming I'm coming to what is it Mr go I just heard something yeah she just got off the train and all her mother's mad boy who who got off the train and and and who are who are mad Mrs Cory for sending for a professional social worker oh she's here already yeah she just got off the train did you see her I didn't see her I just was told well why well miss goag I wouldn't tolerate it after your good intentions the mothers don't want their children in the hands of strangers well that's the way Mrs Cory wants it who's Mrs Cory H Rosal did see more tell you yeah I can imagine what she looks like taking all the authority out of your hands after it was you your idea when you would have want to start it when it was your original idea what is she going to do take all the authority out of your hands now Mrs Cory said I'm I'm not qualified qualified haven't got the qualifications of the diplomas of of of of the professor H2O diplomas you have to be PhD H2O you have to be with initials and initials and initials you have to have that the fact that I raised Ros something's the matter with Ros I don't see something the matter I don't see it without the iq's all the initials you need in this generation with initials you'll do something else ma all right why should you I mean I mean world of qualifications all right so many to do that that's all to do nothing why nothing but there something that social worker is here well that's good I'm very glad m what's going on in the village M had J they made you that they're going to send the social worker back the the mothers will not stand for it they're all calling Mrs Cory they they want you and and and only you Mr goag I advise you to resist with all your strength all right Sima all right it's not all right Mr goldag I beg to differ with you I've had experience with social workers all right all right Sim with the social workers all right I'm just trying to tell you what I know all right in in my early youth when I lived in New York there was on our block a clubhouse all the fellas in our Circle belonged and we found our own organization suff sufficient unto our own needs well one day a woman from a neighborhood decided to be of help to us and she informed a certain welfare agency and then we got ourselves a social worker well in the first place she acted as if we were all potential enemies of society who had to be saved and all we wanted to do was play ball next she she gets very understanding all of a sudden yeah for instance suppose I had a disagreement with my mother now is that something with your cousin a best of all right Sim all right let me hear Simo thank you Mrs Goldberg as I was saying I had a disagreement with my mother and I showed it yeah so the social worker took my hand and began to sympathize with my bad home conditions bad home conditions by the time she got so understanding me I was an example of what happened in the slums it was too much Mrs Gober too and so it is my sincere opinion that if this present social worker who is in town is permitted to interfere in your good way enough I was merely trying to be of assistance what's that the bus the bus here is it who do you think oh she's here already she's here already well I'm going upstairs in my present condition maybe I'll set say something I I'm also in a condition well why shouldn't you say what you want to say please I don't want to say and I don't want you to say Mom I'll just tell her that you're not going to take go you're not going to say you're not going to say you're not going to say please upstairs upstairs with me David that's all and Jake my dear darling whatever you wish to say you can be vaporious in your own ve you notorious in your own ve lay down party lay down P lay down lay down where is my jacket where you put it beautiful an I'm getting lately Molly come in just come in just come in how do you do I'm Miriam Morris want you uh sit down thank you you're uh very young we just want to tell you that none of the woman is it oh I'm Miss Morris if you think that you if you g Excuse Me Miss what's the name moris Miss moris um Mr fingerhood Miss Morris ring M moris I thought that you would be mom only I have this is Mrs gber Miss Morris I'm Miss Miriam Morris I'm the social worker Miss Cory sent for oh you're you're the social worker she's the social worker she's the social work man I've been sent here to assist you in the wonderful work you're doing we realize that mothers who raised their own children are experts enough in child care but well there are some things that come up in group training that no mother could easily solve all by herself and that's my job certainly there is nothing to object to in that Molly not nothing to object Molly subjective oh I assure you there's not going to be anything to which anyone can object it's a big job and we'll both learn learn from each other after all it's a tremendous responsibility that you have here it's a new life for the children and that means that their Futures are more or less in our hands of course we don't mind telling you now miss moris that Mrs Goldberg's objected strenuously oh I'm sure Mrs Goldberg was objecting to something that might have happened not to what's going to happen please understand I'm here to help not to supervise I'm here to work if uh if I can just I can just wash the children I mean and clean them and and maybe feed them that's all maybe I have the qualifications to do the rest well that's almost all of it thank you very much I think this is going to be one of the fine things to come out of All the Troubles of this war people are going to learn to help each other learn how to get on with each other in a million different way more than a million different ways no doubt going to do our here surely I'll I'll show you the room where the children play Miss Mar The Parlor and I got a parlor Stone and if you want a black beautiful there I wish I was five years old I wish I was four I wish I was three well we're just outside looking in but if we can tell from Seymour's attitude Miriam marus must be quite lovely quite young and quite appealing and Molly after all is going to have help rather than the opposite and now I want to talk to just those ladies who have a stack of dirty dishes to wash every day are you still using a halfway soap you are if it's a tough granulated soap because it's short on safety for your hands and if you use a bar soap it doesn't have real speed well At Last you can forget such halfway soaps because new does is here it brings you a new kind of dishwashing yes this new kind of granulated soap for everything in your wash really has everything for dishes too from Whirlwind speed to extra safety for your hands actually does is far kinder to your hands than any of the four other leading granulated soaps yes notice how wonderfully soft and smooth your hands feel after doing dishes with doz yet this same does speeds through dishes as fast as the fastest soap there is it cuts even tough grease without hard scaring try it tonight and let those amazing Suds tell you does really has everything for dishes be sure to listen to the next episode of The Goldbergs written for you by Gertrude Berg we have a new interest in The Goldberg house and so has Seymour and so have others too as Molly discovers tomorrow this is Clayton ker wishing you good day for Proctor and Gamble makers of doz the new kind of granulated soap for all three kinds of wash
