Last year I played this song live on my EML Electrocomp 101 at a local electronic music "open mic" night with my friend Lizeth singing. We didn't get around to recording this version, but I came across a recording of the music I made while I was practicing, so I decided to add a synthetic vocal to it (https://www.plogue.com/products/alterego/). The EML was perfect for this track since it's duophonic and the original Soft Cell track just had the synth lead line and bass line. I had the EML rhythmically triggered by the drum machine (can't remember just now what I used, maybe Sequential TOM?) while I played the notes live. The drum machine was fed into the EML's audio input, with the gain cranked up for crunchiness. I played the vocal synth part live as a midi overdub.
