Description: Shows an annual session of the General Assembly convening; delegates and visitors arriving and taking their seats; the choosing of the President by secret ballot; individual delegations, and some of the world figures who have spoken to the Assembly — Eisenhower, Castro, Nehru, Tito, Nkrumah, Macmillan, Khrushchev and others. Diagrams show the main committees of the Assembly. To these are submitted political, social and other questions for discussion, investigation, and report. Shots of atomic clouds, modern atomic weapons, village life, ploughing with camels, a slum area, a Congo rally, demonstrate the wide divergence of problems considered. Shows the working procedures involving delegates, reports, photographers, radio announcers and camera men.
