Describes the ecology of four regions - the Atlantic Coastal Ridge, the Everglades, Big Cypress Swamp and Coastal Mangrove Swamps. Shows why the area's native plants and animals have developed and how they've adjusted to the stress of the physical environment, especially seasonal fires and floods.
