Description: This home movie from Texas oilman E.B. Hopkins captures scenes of a family vacation to Miami, Florida in 1925. Among the picturesque scenes of the family at the beach, classic cars on the road, and ships at the Port of Miami, are images of the construction of the historic Biltmore Hotel that opened in 1926, now a National Historic Landmark. Also included are scenes of Seminole alligator wrestling, a tradition in the Everglades-region Native American tribe.
