Complete Record: Every year the American Advertising Federation presents films of the best advertising in the thirteen western states. The purpose of the awards is to bring to the attention of the profession those individuals who are doing superior work, and secondly, to encourage more creativity in the field of advertising. Introducing AAF Western Region Chairman, Robert M. Light, President, Southern California Broadcasters Association who gives over view of the awards. The film shows only the sweepstakes winners, the very best of the West. There are many categories of advertising which win awards, but the sweepstakes is the higher award. 30-minutes worth of winners. There are head shots of many designers and heads of winning advertising companies; there are shots of a bunch of designers and executives in long shots sitting around tables or otherwise sitting around. These images express ‘executive,’ ‘boards,’ ‘white collar workers,’ ‘thinking,’ ‘planning,’ etc. apart from the subject of advertising. Consumer Magazine Awards, Reader’s Digest.
