The American Wilderness
Sign in to track this film in your collection or want list.
Deals with man's needs for space to reflect, to retreat, and to come in contact with an unspoiled nature, presenting the American wilderness as an irreplaceable resource which must be preserved for future generations. Points out that, although a law to preserve these lands was passed in 1964, most wilderness areas once destroyed cannot be legislated back into existence. Scenic views include the Sierras, Yosemite and the Cascades. Reported by Hugh Downs.
