A group of psychologists and social scientists at Harvard Psychological Clinic, headed by Dr. Henry Murray, spent several years analyzing and describing the important affiliation need which all people share or experience. This film shows the proper and improper way to affiliate in everyday situations. This is first of a series of 21 films dealing with man's basic needs.
