Description: National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Hall of Famer, Lindsey Nelson narrates this review of the 40th annual Southwestern Sun Carnival. Events covered include the Sheriff's Posse Breakfast, Sun Queen Coronation and the Sun Parade. The parade, lead by martial Mickey Mantle, has the theme "Remember When", and features floats portraying the previous 40 years in history. Other spots events covered include the basketball tournament hosted by UTEP, and the first Sun Bowl Classic Golf Tournament, won by Jerry Pate who went on to a successful PGA career. The films main focus, however, is the play-by-play highlights of the 40th Sun Bowl game in which the North Carolina Tar Heels took on the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
