[Music] [Applause] art is made of a number of things of color [Music] a form of line of things that are dark of things that are light of surfaces rough and smooth [Music] smooth surfaces rough surfaces surfaces everywhere on everything [Music] the cat has a surface all his own not like a slippery worm nor a fuzzy caterpillar so the earth and the creatures that come from the earth the sea and the things that come from the sea all have services each is different none the same [Music] it is fun to discover the feel of things it is fun for you and fun for me and fun for all of us surfaces may change sometimes the change is slow sometimes the change is fast [Music] nature changes surfaces in many ways so [Music] man also changes surfaces in many ways he makes things rotten so [Music] he makes things smooth he changes surfaces to meet his needs to make them the way he wants them to be [Music] so with chalk crayon or paint you can make surfaces look shiny and smooth or fuzzy in art you discover new surfaces put them together in your own way make them say what you want them to say [Music] you
