Description: As an undergraduate student at the University of Texas at Austin (1931-1935), Jack Gray was a star basketball and football player and the first to receive consensus All-America honors. In 1936 he became an assistant coach for the freshman football team, and head coach of the freshman basketball team. During his tenure he led the 1939 Longhorn basketball team to a Southwest Conference (SWC) victory. This photo montage depicts his childhood, family, high school football team, college sports career as a player and coach, and marriage.
