Description: Transcription: - Hey, this is Bob Hope 0:01 and I'd like to show you how some of the owners 0:02 of America's oil companies live. 0:04 A lot of them look very much like people, you know, 0:07 it isn't surprising. 0:09 They're Texaco stockholders, who, along with more 0:10 than 2 million other Americans are investing 0:13 in America's oil industry. 0:16 In six companies alone, over half of them are women. 0:18 Almost half are retired. 0:22 Another 12 million Americans have invested 0:24 through organizations which invest their money 0:26 for them such as mutual funds. 0:29 Over 90 colleges and universities depend 0:31 on part of their income for investments in oil companies. 0:34 So do about 1000 charitable and educational institutions. 0:37 Who owns America's oil companies? 0:42 Over 14 million Americans. 0:43 Some 370,000 of them with Texaco alone. 0:45 That's a lot of people who put their trust 0:50 in companies like Texaco 0:52 and we're working to keep that trust. 0:54
