I rescued as many interesting-looking film/video items as I could, but the guy selling the stuff wanted more money for it than I was willing to pay for the entire lot. I managed to get in touch with Al and tried to reunite him with his stuff, but he proved to be quite difficult to communicate with and to date we've never made a fruitful connection. So for now I've decided to upload some of his items here for wider appreciation.

Do we have a fix on the signal source? Sagittarius, the center of the galaxy. whale boy whale boy I'm so glad to see you. If I could only talk to you. We've run it on the Cray, the Vax, every computer from Caltech to MIT. We still can't decode that signal. Lauren, how many times have I told you to stay away from that whale? I've got to find him. The human boy is my friend. Your friend? All humans give is hatred and death. If I could only talk to him. Whales kind of been evolving on this planet 30 million years longer than mankind. There is much they can learn from us. Go. Find your human friend. Teach him the ways of the waters. No friendship WITH HUMANS. WHALE intelligence is so fundamentally different from ours, we don't even know how to approach it. Gentlemen, I believe this signal is not for us, but for the whales.
