Description: A story of an uprising in Poland against the rule of Russia in the days of 1906. A small band of Poles form themselves into a party and make plans for the freedom of Poland. The scenes are laid at Warsaw and in part around the Pawiak prison, where so many Polish patriots were executed in those days. The cast is from the National Polish Theatre, and shows ability in every detail. The picture is regarded as the best of the Polish films yet shown in this country and was the recipient of the Warsaw medal for the best picture of the year seen in that city. (Recommended for curriculum enrichment.)
