Description: Tanya Nicolev, age 12, lives with her family in Moscow and loves the magical world of the puppet theater. She is accepted into the beginner's class in puppetry by Sergei Obratsov, one of Russia's greatest puppeteers. Visiting the workshop and seeing the craftsmanship involved in puppet-making, Tanya creates her own puppet, a penguin named Pasha. She writes a role for it in a short play and with her classmates participates in a puppet dress rehearsal.
