Description: Uses actual game footage to demonstrate four major strategies a soccer player can use to help his team keep possession of the ball until an attempt to score a goal is made. Discusses the importance of some team members staying behind the player with the ball so it can be passed back to them, and the importance of the supporting players being at an appropriate angle to receive the ball. Explains that a player can move ahead of the ball when support from behind is no longer needed and suggests that running past opponents should be done only when the attacking third of the field is reached.
