Description: Tells the story of a boy who lives in the Assam Valley of India. Living and working on a tea plantation, he barters he belongings for a string of beads which he gives to a girl. Later the family is shown arranging for their marriage. They establish a typical home, work in the fields, and raise a family. The emphasis is on a continuation of ancient customs.
