Description: Uses animation and live-action photography to describe the character of heat, action of molecules when heated, kinds of fuel, methods of producing heat, and ways of transferring heat. Pictures the building of a fire using a magnifying glass to focus the heat, rays from the sun, and by use of a "fire bow" which produces heat through friction. Shows water being heated, describes the action of the molecules as they are heated, and the conversion of water to steam which turns a small electric generator.
