Hawaiian Soundies
1. “Kona Moon”
Man in white tuxedo conducts and sings as band of men in white tuxedos plays and female hula dancers dance in front of band.
2. “Maka La Pua”
Man in white suit jacket plays guitar, moves and sits down with rest of band in front of hawaiian scene. Hula dancers come on stage and dance. Woman and man sing “Maka La Pua.”Man in white suit jacket plays guitar, moves and sits down with rest of band in front of hawaiian scene. Hula dancers come on stage and dance. Woman and man sing “Maka La Pua.”
3. “Little Grass Shack”
Shot of sailor with glasses on ship singing “Little Grass Shack” playing ukulele, two sailors on either side of him watch him. Scene fades to sailor singing and playing in front of little grass shack. Scene plays out of hula dancer dancing towards him from a bridge. She comes up and tries to woo him with dancing as he sits and plays ukulele, singing. They dance. Scene fades back to ship, two men flip sailor over on hammock.

Shot of band in hawaiian setting. Hula dancers kneel in front with sticks, facing each other in pairs. and hitting their sticks along with singers and band. Long shot of whole scene, men in white suits play, female voice sings. “Imua Ailuna.” Varies between shots of hula dancers and shots of band, shots of whole scene.
7. “Blue Hawaii”
Band plays in hawaiian scene. Cuts to couple singing romantically together, middle scene cuts to faster pace with hula dancers dancing with sticks and band playing in front of grass shack. Back to couple who sing together and then kiss

Scene of band in hawaiian scene playing. Woman sits on top. Cut to close up of man in white suit singing playing guitar. Zooms out, woman in funny outfit and hat dances as man sings. Shot of just her dancing and miming along to song. Shot of man singing. Varies between shots of her and man singing. Together they tell a story of “Hilo Hattie.”

Long shot of them walking, her singing, him playing guitar. Close up of her singing. Drums sound. They run off into long shot of new scene, she dances. Cuts to man standing behind her singing and playing guitar. Long shot with hula dancers with large leaves dance in background. Cut back to couple as man sings in falsetto. Woman dances. Man follows.
