and reliability the first step was to redesign the motorboard for greater portability and for more organized mounting of the amplifier controls the next step was to lower the silhouette and the new changer provides greater compactness in the whole portable line next was a new design of the changer controls the new look in controls includes a new speed selector new onoff reject lever and now a diameter selector with this selector the changer can repeat the last record and the arm will start at the beginning not at the 7-in position as in previous models the tubular tone arm design of 1965 is now used on all automatic Portables with an optional cost of less than $100 on the over $100 Portables there is an allnew Deluxe 4 piece true tubular tone arm that is engineered to give unsurpassed maintains color uniformity during warm-up and operation no more turning knobs to keep color balance while the set is warming up this is color TV that's almost as easy to tune as a push button radio the Mark 1 has power tuning with the new touch bar tuner just touch the VHF side and you automatically get your next programmed Channel and notice no fiddling with a fine tuning knob as channels are behind this door is a VHF Channel selector knob turn it to any channel if you do not wish the power tuner to stop at this channel push in the fine-tuning ring and turn it to the left until the sound is muted when you release the fine-tuning ring this channel will be bypassed by power tuning if you want Power tuning to stop at a channel turn the fine tuning to the right until the picture appears continue tuning until Soundbars appear the moment you release the fine tuning ring AFC takes hold electronically and pulls the station into perfect tuning and UHF channels are programmed in the same way UHF allocations are such that in any area only one of three adjacent channels will be assigned AFC fine-tuning is Broad enough enough to tune to any one of the three other controls behind the door
