Queer Birds (Kratky Film, B+W, Czech animation. Great black and white 2D animation. A bird hops out of another bird’s mouth. Bird hops on back. They are listening to a radio. Little bird does a flip off big bird’s beak and lands with his beak in the ground. Big bird pulls little out and they walk along. Little bird is moving obsticles out of the way for big bird like rocks and twigs. They walk to a cliff and little bird needs help crossing it. He calls back to big bird who comes to lay her beak across the river and little bird crosses it. They walk to a hole in the ground and little bird falls in. Big bird fishes him out and swings him around to dry him off. Little bird dancew for big bird. They find a worm and share him. They see a paper fall from the sky. Little bird grabs a pencil and draws on paper and they make it into a paper airplane and they ride it. The push it into the sky together. They come to a tree andbiog bird holds little bird up to grab an apple. They find two holes and they each stick their beaks in to play tug of war with a worm. They come to a cliff and throw rocks off the edge. big bird helps little bird across the ravine. The birds quack at each other until here comes the big cat. CU of cat’s face. Birds dive into a hole and cat chases them, birds run and little bird gets on big birds back and little bird shoots seeds out of his mouth. The birds fly away and grab apples with their beaks and drop them like bombs on the cat. The poor cat falls into the ravine. The birds rejoice and hug each other. Big bird pulls out a camera and they pose for the lens. Little bird ties strings on big bird’s beak and plays them like a harp. 22.
