Description: Contrasts typical autosomal inheritance with sex-linked inheritance: colorblindness in man and white eye in Drosophila, as studied by Wilson and Morgan, are discussed as examples of sex linkage. Sex linkage in birds and moths is described. Indicates ways in which sex linkage supports the chromosomal theory of inheritance. Presents additional strong support for the theory in the form of the study of non-disjunction (the exception to the exception of linkage) in the brilliant work of disjunction (the exception to the exception of linkage) in the brilliant work of Bridges.
