Description: Shows the experimental work done with slime mold by Dr. Seifriz and others and various phenomena of protoplasm. Pictures the rhythmical streaming of protoplasm and shows experiments done to determine the force of flow and its causes. Shows protoplasm under the influence of caffeine and heroin and reacting to anesthesia by carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, and electric shock. Pictures the fusion of two slime mold plasmodia and explains that some fuse and some do not. Concludes with an experiment to measure the twisting component in protoplasmic streaming.
