Description: This episode of *Screen Director’s Playhouse follows the comedic chaos at the Racket Club when a world-renowned French culinary authority, Boulange, visits with his daughter. Fearing that Boulange might disparage the club in his upcoming book—or worse, lure away their beloved head chef, Pierre—the owners, Charlie Farrell and his father, scramble to impress him. As a romance blossoms between Pierre and Boulange's daughter, the proprietors attempt a series of increasingly desperate, slapstick schemes to sabotage the budding relationship and keep their chef. Ultimately, the duo relies on a clever, last-minute prank involving their own "secret weapons" to humiliate the visitors, effectively driving them away and ensuring that their prized chef remains at the club.
