[Music] the French consul at Montreal joins four of his countrymen who arrived to reenact an historic Odyssey the four grown-up Scouts will retrace the route of Pierre Marquette and they received the best wishes of mr. triode and consult on the route which the famous priests followed which finally led him to the Mississippi River during the 17th century our journey which was an historical landmark in the Western world they receive a con speed and both my eyes from the council as they leave to embark on a voyage which will take them over 4,500 miles of Canadian and American rivers and waterways the poor young bronze Frenchmen are all Parisians and have taken ten months in the preparation for their venture they are presented with two sturdy Canadian canoes for the trip its high adventure but more it retraces the steps of a great man of history in North America [Music] [Applause]
