Description: Abridged from the feature film. Presents the life of Robert Schumann from the time Clara Wieck, later his wife, plays his "Traumerei" as a concert encore until forty years later when she again plays it at the culmination of her work to win recognition for her husband's music. Shows the close friendship of the Schumanns and Johannes Brahms and the mental infirmity which overtook Robert near the end of his life.
